he
Heritage School Fine Arts Program consists of a variety of
opportunities that increase the involvement and participation of
students in the Fine Arts! Our Fine Arts classes are among the
most widely recognized in South Florida.
In their Art classes, students explore various
styles and techniques, and have the opportunity to display their
work at school, at the annual Gallery Night event, or at the Dade
County Youth Fair. Classes focus on different elements in art
each month and study the lives and works of various artists.
Students learn about accomplished artists and what inspired them
as well as the style or genre the artist is known for.
Music students take
advantage of the school’s vocal and instrumental music classes,
developing their talents and increasing their understanding of the
performing arts. From our youngest learners through Middle
School, our students develop their individual response to music in
the form of movement. By Middle School, Heritage students are
reading and composing their own music. All students become
familiar with music theory and study historical eras in music. In
addition, our students perform several times a year at various
events.
