school’s artistic programs are among the most widely recognized
in
South Florida. In their art classes, students explore various
styles and techniques, and have the opportunity to display their
works throughout the school, or exhibit at the annual Art Show
or the Dade County Youth Fair.

Creativity: "Aptitude for creating"- Websterīs Dictionary
Wiith that said, letīs start out the second half of the school
year with this in mind. We continue to focus on different elements
in art each month and continue to study the lives and works of
various artists. This month we will focus on the life of a very
well-known artist by the name of Leonardo Da Vinci. Leonardo Da
Vinci is known for his famous work the "Mona Lisa". How exciting
it is to learn about such artists and what inspired them!
Letīs continue to use our creativity throughout the year !
Music students take advantage of the school’s vocal and
instrumental music classes, developing their talents and increasing
their understanding of the performing arts.
Music teacher:
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students will continue
learning new songs and developing their response to music in
the form of movement. Levels I-III will be introduced to the
concept of "ensemble instrumentation" as they continue learning
basic theory principles. Basic notation reading will be emphasized
during this quater. Levels IV and V will continue learning more
theory as they are introduced to more songs for the recorder.
Music history will continue with the introduction of the "Romantic
Era"
.
