Miami-Dade County- Middle Schools
The
Heritage School students participated in Photography, Multimedia, and Web Page
Design competitions in the 2007 Student Exhibits at the
Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition. Students from Level IV
competed in Photography with digital photographs about “Discovering My
Backyard.” These photos provide visual pleasure, and demonstrate both artistic
and technical accomplishments. Fifth and Sixth graders joined the Multimedia
competition with their projects “Life on Plantations” and “Butterflies in Tokyo,
Thunderstorms in Miami” respectively. Levels VI and VII took part in the Web
Page Design with their projects “Terra Firma?” and “Eat Smart, Be Smart”
respectively. Both Multimedia and Web Page Design projects are focused on
educational themes and their entries are original. These competitions were a
complete success. The digital photographs of six students were part of the
Photography competition, and all of them won prizes: one First Place and Special
Award, three more First Places, and two Second Places. In the Web Page Design,
Level VI received the First Place of the Middle School section with the theme
“Terra Firma?” In Multimedia, the students gave their best, gained experience
and exposure, as well as the honor of being part of the 2007 Student Exhibits at
Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition. All students who participated have done a
great job. Congratulations to all of them!
