Dress Code

 

Students must adhere to uniform policy unless otherwise specified.  The school uniform vendor is Sunshine Uniform Company.  In the Elementary School, shorts, pants and skirts are navy in color and shirts may be yellow, orange, or white.  In the Middle School, shorts, pants, and skirts are grey and shirts may be red, white, or blue.  The shirt worn for all field trips is white.  Cold weather wear must be Sunshine Uniform issue.  Preschool and Kindergarten students may wear athletic shoes to school.  Elementary Students must wear black dress shoes to school.  Middle School students may wear dress shoes or all leather and completely black (including stitching and design) athletic shoes.  Physical Education uniforms for all students are also available at Sunshine Uniform.  Uniforms must be kept in good condition fit properly.

 Students are expected to be clean and neat in their personal appearance and grooming.  Hair must be clean and neatly combed, and should not cover the eyes.  Boys must wear their hair above the collar line, and shaved, carved or extreme styles are not permitted.  Older boys must be clean-shaven.  Earrings may be worn by girls.  Tattoos are prohibited.

 Students in grades 1-8 change into the P.E. uniform and sneakers in the Bath House in order to participate in Physical Education class.  Students are advised to bring their P.E. uniforms in a separate small bag.  Preschool and Kindergarten students attend school in the P.E. uniform on those days when they will be participating in P.E.

 Certain days are designated on the School Calendar as "Dress Up" days when students are permitted to wear nice clothes to school.  Still other days are designated "Spirit" days when students may wear their spirit T-shirts with blue jeans.
