he Heritage School Media Center's mission is to encourage students to develop a love of reading, and simultaneously develop the skills they will need as adults to locate, analyze, evaluate, interpret, and communicate information and ideas in an information-rich world. It is the mission of the HSMC to create life long learners who use ideas and information to meet intellectual, curricular and recreational needs. Information literacy, research skills, and task analysis give students fundamental organizational tools with which to accomplish learning goals. The HSMC seeks to produce students who are capable of creating and disseminating information and ideas in an ethical fashion in accordance to copyright and information freedom.

In today's high tech society, the Media Center is more than just a depository of books. The library is designed to be an interactive multi-media space that stimulates all of the student’s senses. The Heritage School Media Center is committed to providing students with appropriate, accurate, and current resources in multi-media formats that surpasses supporting the curriculum, and engages student’s curiosity and critical thinking
